New Yorker writer Ryan Lizza, who wrote a story about her, said he was astonished at how many facts Bachmann gets wrong. It's not clear if she's doing it intentionally or if she's just ignorant.
This one sort of falls under bamboozler because of her stance that government interferes with personal "liberty" and yet she benefits: her family farm has received $250,000 in federal subsidies.
Bachmann was making some sort of outlandish claims about Obama boosting government salaries. Well that's wrong. Hard to tell though if it's bamboozler or ignorant, maybe a little of both.
