In the summer spirit: Fearne Cotton wears a hairband of daisy chains as she leaves the Radio 1 studios in London yesterday

She may have missed out on Glastonbury this year, but Fearne Cotton looked like she was in the festival spirit yesterday as she returned to Radio 1 after two weeks away.

The presenter, 28, looked summery as she left the BBC studios on Monday afternoon in a pair of denim shorts, vintage Iron Maiden t-shirt, oversized orange shades and a daisy chain hairband.

Cotton was back hosting her lunchtime show after two weeks off to film a second series of her ITV2 documentary series Fearne And... and a new talent show.

While Cotton is keeping tight-lipped about most of the show's subjects, she did reveal she interviews internet gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

The first series last year saw the presenter chatting to Alesha Dixon, Peaches Geldof and Paris Hilton.

Cotton met up with Hilton at the MuchMusic Video Music Awards in Toronto, Canada last week.

After returning to London on Tuesday, busy Cotton spent the rest of the week and weekend filming her new talent show Must Be The Music.

The Sky1 show, which launches in August, features Cotton and judges Dizzee Rascal, Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri hunt for a new musical star.

Cotton complained the constant standing at auditions had left her back hurting and she was also sad at missing out on the Glastonbury Festival, where many of her Radio 1 colleagues spent the weekend.

She wrote on her Twitter micro-blogging page: 'My back is so stiff from standing up for all the Must Be The Music auditions. I need to start wearing comfy shoes(or slippers) when filming...

'Bit gutted I can't go Glasto as I'm working in London all weekend. Not gonna think about it. la la la la.'

After two weeks off, Cotton admitted she had missed being at Radio 1 - but was surprised to see to signed gift apparently from Katie Price, with her name spelled wrong.

Writing on her Twitter yesterday, she said: 'Back to Radio 1 today! Haven't had a hug off (Chris) Moyles for two whole weeks.

'Nice to see my mates at Radio 1 this morning. For some reason there is a signed Katie Price book on my desk and she spelt my name FURN... ha ha just found out it was Fiona in the office pretending to be Pricey.'
